Profile
The Profile tab enables you to update a user profile and password. You can access this page from the:
- Edit mode of the User page as an administrator who manages users and user security. When you access this page as the administrator, you can change the profile and password information for another user from the Edit user page. When you change another CIS Administration user's password, the password is temporary. The next time the user logs on to CIS Administration, the user must change the password before the logon can be completed.
- My CIS page as a CIS Administration user who wants to update his or her own profile information or password. When you access this page as a user, you can use the My CIS page to change your password. When you change your password from the My CIS page, you can log on to CIS Administration using the new password, and you do not need to change your password the next time you log on.
Use this page to:
- Update another user's profile or password (from the Edit mode of the User page):
Edit profile information for another user
- In the user profile fields, type new or changed information. Only the Display name is required.
- Click Save.
CIS Administration updates the user profile with the changed information.
Change the password for another user
- Select Change Password.
The Password and Confirm password fields are enabled.
- In the Password field, type a new password, following the password creation rules specified in the Security tab of the Configuration page.
- In the Confirm password field, retype the password.
- Click Save.
CIS Administration updates the user password. The next time the user attempts to log on to CIS Administration, the user must first change to a new password.
- Update your own profile or password (from the My CIS page):
Edit your profile information
- Type your profile information in the appropriate fields. Only the Display name field is required.
- Click Save.
Change your password
- Select the Change Password checkbox.
- In the Password field, type the new password. Passwords must meet the requirements and the rules for your specific location.
Allowed characters in passwords are upper and lowercase letters, digits, underscore (_), pound sign (#), and dollar sign ($).
- In the Confirm password field, retype the password.
- Click Save.
