User - New User Wizard
The New User wizard enables you to add a new CIS Administration user.
Use this page to:
- Type user profile and password information into the appropriate fields. You must provide the following information:
- User name
- Display name
- Password
Allowed characters in passwords are upper and lowercase letters, digits, underscore (_), pound sign (#), and dollar sign ($).
- Confirm password
- Click Finish.
CIS Administration displays the New User page with the information you entered and adds the user to the Users tab of the Security Administration page. The New User page includes the Edit Current User and Create New User buttons so that you can edit the user you just created or create another new user.
Edit the profile of the profile of the user you just created
- After creating a user by completing the New User wizard, on the New User page, click Edit Current User.
The Profile tab of the Edit User page appears, displaying the user you just created.
- Update user profile information as desired. Only the Display name is required.
- If you want to update the user's password, select Change Password.
The Password and Confirm password fields are enabled.
- In the Password field, type a new password, following the password creation rules specified in the Security tab of the Configuration page.
- In the Confirm password field, retype the password.
- Click Save.
CIS Administration updates the user password. The next time the user attempts to log on to CIS Administration, the user must first change to a new password.
- After creating a user by completing the New User wizard, on the New User page, click Create New User.
The first page of the New User wizard appears.
