Mappings and coding targets

To enable Clintrial coding to function correctly, CIS does not allow synchronized data to update any part of a coding target except the verbatim. When you create Clintrial mappings, make sure that the mappings do not point to any coding items or Central Coding targets.

When receiving mappings or data, CIS rejects mappings or transactions for which the target is any part of a Clintrial coding target other than the verbatim. The value is not placed in the destination field. The CIS software writes a warning to the Event Log to notify you of the issue, and continues the synchronization process.

For Clintrial coding using the Manage module, CIS disallows writing to the following items in the CTSDD.ENCODING_TARGET table:
