How do I dispense the same device to another subject?

If you want to dispense a device that was already dispensed to another subject, you need to work with the clinical supply manager on your team to make sure the kit is correctly updated in the site's inventory.

Note:

This procedure also applies to IoT-enabled devices managed through Oracle Health Sciences mHealth Connector Cloud Service.

Site user: Locate and replace the device that you want to dispense to another subject

  1. Locate the device that you want to dispense to another subject, replace it, and select Not Dispensed to Subject as the reason for replacement.

  2. After getting the device back from the subject, let your clinical supply manager know that the device is now part of the site's inventory again.

Clinical supply manager: Mark the device as Available in the inventory

  1. On the Site Inventory tab, search for the device with a status of Not Dispensed to Subject, and update its status to Available.

Note:

Keep in mind that this device might be unblinded in the study when you update its status to Available.

Site user: Dispense the device to another subject

Once the device is made available in the site inventory, you can dispense it again to another subject in the study. Details about the updates appear in the kit's history.
