Mark a visit that a subject misses as skipped

Depending on how a study is set up, you might be able to skip a visit that a subject misses. You can always skip an optional visit.

Before you mark a visit that a subject missed, consider the following:
  • You cannot skip any visits for which data has been entered, a screening visit or a required visit that occurs before the screening visit, a randomization visit, and a visit that start an open-label period.
  • If you skipped a visit in error and need to enter data for the visit, click the visit in the table of subjects and confirm that you want to start it.
  • A skipped visit cannot be populated by a Data Intake integration. If applicable, undo the skipped visit then request the vendor place the file back on sFTP for re-import.
  1. On the Home page, determine where to work. For more information, see Access study modes and pages.
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. Filter your view based on country and sites. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
  4. In the table, locate the subject.
  5. Click the visit in the Next Visits column.
  6. At the top of the page, from the Manage Subject drop-down, select Skip this Visit .
  7. Enter a reason for skipping the visit and click Skip Visit.
    The visit turns purple in the table of subjects and has an X above the visit name.
