Software Requirements

OCT 2020 CPU is certified for Oracle Clinical 5.2.2. For the list of certified technology stack patches, see Oracle Health Sciences Critical Patch Update October 2020 (Doc ID 2711188.1) on My Oracle Support.

If you are applying the OCT 2020 Critical Patch Update, you may encounter an error while launching the Oracle Clinical application. To avoid this error, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Control Panel, and click Java.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Under Advanced Security Settings:
    • Deselect the Use TLS 1.0 check box.
    • Select the Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 check boxes.
  4. Click OK.

Database Tier Operating System Requirements

To verify that your system fits the requirements listed in Oracle Clinical Database Tier Technology Stack, do the following in UNIX or Windows:

UNIX

To verify UNIX operating system details, enter the following command:

uname -a

In addition, to verify the update version for Linux, enter the following command:

cat /etc/issue

Windows

To verify Windows operating system details, navigate to the Control Panel, then System and Security, then System.
