Upgrade Oracle Database

Upgrade the Database to Oracle Database 19c (19.3.0)

If your Oracle database version is 11.2.0.4 or 12.1.0.2, you can upgrade the database to the 19c version.

Clone Your Database on a Oracle Database 19c

To clone your database on a Oracle Database 19c:

  1. Install Oracle Database 19c.
  2. Create an Oracle Database Container Database (CDB) to use one or more pluggable databases.

    Note:

    If you are upgrading multiple databases, you still need only one CDB.
  3. Update the listener and tnsnames.ora.
