Allow report drilldown

If drill-down is allowed for reports, users can drill down on report column variables that show counts of cases, or on elements of graphs based on such reports. If the running of a report generates an out-of-memory error, you can turn off drilldown in the report definition and try running the report again. When drilldown is off, less memory is used to run the report; however, the report may take longer to run.

Note:

For an all cases summary report, this option on the Edit Report Attributes page is not available. However, on the Drug Profiles page, users are able to drill down on charts based on the output of this type of report.
  1. In the left navigation pane, hover on the Data Analysis icon (Data Analysis icon), then click Report Definitions.
  2. On the Report Definitions page, accept the case series shown or click Browse to the right of Case Series to display the Select Case Series page and select a case series.
  3. Click a Report Definition's Row Action menu (Row Action menu icon), then click Edit.
  4. On the Edit Report Columns page, click the Report Attributes radio button.
  5. On the Edit Report Attributes page, click Generate drill-down Information.
  6. To allow drilldown in reports, click Yes (the default). To disallow drilldown, click No.

Note:

Even if you click No, users can drill down to case details from a case ID that appears as a row variable in a report.
