Send a message to all users

If you have the Administer Users permission, you can send an email message to all Oracle Empirica Signal users who:

  • Have an email address associated with their username.
  • Are in your login group.
  • Have an active user account (that is, the Account disabled check box is cleared on the Add/Edit User page).

For example, you might want to send a message announcing an upgrade or scheduling server maintenance.

  1. In the left navigation pane, click the Settings icon (Settings icon).
  2. In the Administer System section, click Send Message to All Users.
  3. In the Subject field, enter the subject of your message.
  4. In the Comments field, enter the text of your message.
  5. Click Send.

    The application sends the message to users, regardless of whether or not they are currently logged in, and displays a confirmation for each message sent.

    In the email message:

    • The date and time of the message is the date and time at which you clicked Send.
    • The From line shows the email address associated with your username. If there is no email address associated with your username, the From line shows the email address associated with the Feedback Email field on the Set Site Options page.
    • The Subject line shows the text you entered in the subject line.
  6. Click Continue.
