What is background processing for case series?

Background processing allows processes, such as case series creation, to run without user intervention and interruption, so that you can perform other tasks simultaneously.

Uninterrupted background processing also allows you to exit the application without affecting job processing or completion. Background processing is a standard feature and occurs automatically. You do not need to enable background processing.

One background processing job exists per task when you perform any of the following:

• Create a case series using the Query Wizard.
• Create a case series from an existing query.
• Edit and save a query-based case series.
