Manage topic workflow configurations
This section includes information about topic workflow configuration design and management as well as details and tasks for working with fields, field values, topic states, action states, templates, email notifications, and action types.

A topic workflow configuration defines how the Topic Management feature works, including the fields that store topic information and the workflow states that you can assign to track progress. - Overview of setting up a topic workflow configuration
Oracle Empirica Topics is configured by an administrator who performs several tasks. A sequential outline of those tasks is based on the sample topic workflow configuration delivered with the application. - Preconfigured topic workflow configurations
Oracle Empirica Signal provides two sample configurations. The Sample Topic Workflow Configuration is a starting point for a basic topic workflow configuration. You can specify the list of values that appear for a field. - Manage topic states
You can view or edit topic states. Specifying topic states in the topic workflow configuration applies a workflow for processing topics. Each topic state may include the next state or state that may be assigned. - Manage action states
Each topic workflow configuration defines the workflow states that can be assigned to an action. - Manage field access
Once you have defined topic states and fields, you define the level of access that users have to each field - Manage topic templates
You can create, edit, and delete topic templates that pre-populate fields and actions in a standardized way. - Manage action types
Action types standardize and simplify the creation of topic actions and a topic template actions and can be used to categorize the action's work. - Manage email notification rules
You can set up rules to automatically send email notifications based on different changes to actions and topics or create a rule to remind users when an action’s completion date is near, due, or overdue.
