Manage action types

Action types standardize and simplify the creation of topic actions and a topic template actions and can be used to categorize the action's work.

• About action types
  Action types serve as templates for actions and to categorize actions. Use them for repetitive actions that must be performed on all topics.
• Manage Action Types page
  The Topic Workflow Configuration administrator creates action types and makes them visible to work teams. On the Manage Action Types page, you can add, modify, and delete the action types shown in the table.
• View the action types
  You can view the defined action types on the Manage Action Types page.
• Action Type page
  On the Action Type page, you can view and edit action types, including their general information and history.
• View a specific action type
  You can view the general information for and history of a specific action type.
• Add an action type
  You can add an action type to a topic workflow configuration.
• Activate or deactivate an action type
  Action types are activated by default. To discontinue use of an action type, the action type can be deactivated.
• Copy an action type
  You can copy action types.
• Edit an action type
  You can edit the general information about an action type.
• Delete an action type
  You can delete action types other than the Generic action type and those that have never been used by a topic action or topic template action.
