2 Installation

To install the Healthcare Data Repository patch, you need to download and install it. You then need to perform some post-installation steps.

• Download the Patch
  Oracle distributes the patch set in a zip file.
• Install the Patch
  To install the patch, you must first transfer and extract the contents of the patch set file on both database and middle tiers and then install it.
• Install the Patch on the Database Tier
  After you transfer and extract the contents of the patch set file (p37171708_82040_Generic.zip), you can install the patch on the database tier. Also, you extract the contents of hdr8204_artifacts.zip file to a directory on the database tier.
• Install the Patch on the Middle Tier
  After you transfer and extract the contents of the patch set file (p37171708_82040_Generic.zip), you can install the patch on the middle tier. Also, you extract the contents of hdr8204_artifacts.zip file to a directory on the middle tier.
• Perform the Post-Installation Steps
  Perform the following steps after you install the patch on the database and middle tiers.
