Install the patch

After you download the patch set file (p39795204_404_Generic.zip) to a temporary directory <ohim404_patch_dir> on the middle tier, you can install the patch.

To install the patch:
  1. Extract the contents of the patch set file (p39795204_404_Generic.zip) to a temporary directory <ohim404_patch_dir> on the middle tier. The following directories and files are extracted:
    • common—Contains the following third-party library to be used for the XPID module:
      • mina-core-2.1.15.jar
    • hrl—Contains the following artifact for the Health Record Locator (HRL) module:
      • Updated hrlapp.ear file to be deployed on the WebLogic server.
    • xpid—Contains the following jar file for XPID module:
      • Updated ihe-mpi-hl7v2-management.jar file to be copied on to the XPID HL7v2 installation directory.
      • Updated xpid.ear file to be deployed on the WebLogic server.
    • ReadMe_OHIM_4_0_4.htm—Contains the location of the most current user documentation and release notes.
  2. Ensure the WebLogic Admin and HIM Managed servers are up and running.
  3. Before you apply the patch, back up the HRL 4.0.2/4.0.3 ear file in case you want to revert.
  4. Deploy the new rlsservices hrlapp ear module as follows:
    1. Navigate to the WebLogic Web administration interface and undeploy the hrlapp EAR module (rlsservices).
    2. Select Local packaged file or directory that is accessible from the Application Server.
    3. Browse to the <ohim404_patch_dir> directory where you have extracted the patch file to select and deploy the ear file.
  5. Back up the XPID ear file in case you want to revert.
  6. Deploy the new XPID ear module as follows:
    1. Navigate to the WebLogic Web administration interface and undeploy the XPID EAR module.
    2. Select Local packaged file or directory that is accessible from the Application Server.
    3. Browse to the <ohim404_patch_dir> directory where you extracted the patch file to select and deploy the XPID ear file.
