Transferring a subject to another site

A subject can be transferred to another site to complete the remaining visits in the visit schedule. For more information, see Other visit schedule issues.

Before you start the transfer, you should know:

Make sure the new site has sufficient drug units for the subject to cover an upcoming visit.

  1. Click Subjects (Subjects tab (main menu)).
  2. On the left, click Subject Transfer.
  3. From the Original Site drop-down list, select the identifier for the subject's current site.
  4. From the Select Subject drop-down list, select the subject number of the person being transferred.
  5. From the New Site drop-down list, select the identifier for the site where the subject is being transferred.
  6. In the Transfer Options section, select the option to identify you want to handle the subject number when the subject is transferred.
    • Select Transfer the subject to the new site with the original subject number to keep the subject's current number at the new site.
    • Select Transfer the subject to the new site with a system-assigned subject number to avoid potential conflicts with subject numbers at the transfer site.
  7. Click Submit.

    IRT sends a confirmation email.

  8. Print the email, and file the printed copy according to the policies of the study.
