Complete a Quick Registration

Complete the following steps to perform a quick registration:

  1. Select a facility.

    Note:

The Facility value is used for MRN generation and eligibility.
  2. Enter or update patient information, including first name, last name, and date of birth.

    Note:

Is the patient emancipated and Emancipated Date are displayed if the patient is younger than the patient self-determination age.
  3. As you create a patient, the system performs a check to ensure that the patient record you are creating does not already exist. If a potential duplicate is found, the information is displayed to you. Determine whether the potential duplicate person is different from the person you want to create.

  • If you want to continue creating a new person, select X at the top of the Duplicate Profiles section.
  • If you want to select the existing person, select Access Profile.

Note:

When selecting an existing patient by selecting Access Profile, if the person does not have an MRN, the Edit Person screen is displayed. If the patient has an MRN, you are advanced to the patient profile, where you can schedule an appointment.

  1. If you want to add a proxy, see Work with Proxies.

    Note:

A proxy is required if the patient has not reached the patient self-determination age. If the patient is an emancipated minor, this becomes optional.
  2. Verify contact information and update as needed.

    Note:

The Contact Info section is displayed if the patient is older than the patient self-determination age or if the patient is an emancipated minor.
  3. If notifications are enabled and you want to send the patient a text or email to complete new patient registration, select Send self-registration link.

    Note:

Send Self-Registration Link is enabled when the email address, mobile phone, or home phone values are populated
  4. After the patient information is populated, select Continue. The MRN is generated and assigned to the patient. If you selected the self-registration link, a text or email is sent to the patient or proxy to complete the self-registration. See Manage New Patient Registration Notification - Patient for more information.
