Appointment Types Tab

The Appointment Types tab provides a table describing the types of appointments that your organization provides.

  • Appointment Type: The types of appointments that are available from your Patient Portal.
  • Active: Whether the appointment type is active or inactive.
  • Specialties: If your organization has different medical specialty types, they are here.
  • Questionnaires: The types of questionnaires that are displayed to Patient Portal users.

    Note:

    Questionnaires are intended solely for patient onboarding, registration (patient intake), and gathering of information. Do not use questionnaires, such as PHQ2 and PHQ9 for example, for calculations of diagnosis or for diagnostic purposes.
  • Reschedulable: Whether the appointment can be rescheduled.
  • Cancelable: Whether the appointment can be canceled.
  • Action: Update the details of an appointment type.
To edit the details of an appointment type:
  1. Select Edit. The Manage Appointment Type drawer is displayed.
  2. Enter the Display Value. The Display Value is displayed when a Patient Portal user searches for an appointment.
  3. Select the applicable specialty.
  4. Select Edit in the Action column next to the appointment type that you want to add the survey to. The Manage Appointment Type drawer is displayed.
  5. From the Specialties list, select any specialties you want to associate the survey with.
  6. From the Surveys list, select any surveys you want to be displayed when a Patient Portal user schedules that type of appointment.
  7. Select whether the appointment is reschedulable, cancelable, and active.
  8. Select Save.
