Code Sets

A code set is a collection of related items that represent a workflow, concept, or configuration. A display value represents a specific concept in the larger code set. For example, a code set could be Country and a display value could be United States.

The Code Sets section of the Global Settings module allows you to select which display values are available in the Patient Portal for a given code set.

You can review and activate or deactivate values in the following code sets depending on your organization's needs:

• Birth Sex
• Care Team Relationship Roles
• Ethnicity
• Gender Identity
• Marital Status
• Message Subject List
• Message Types
• Patient Relationship
• Preferred Languages
• Race
• Scheduling - Cancellation Reasons

• Sexual Orientation
