If your organization wants to delay the amount of time between when test data is posted to the electronic health record and when it is available in the Patient Portal, enter the time (in hours) to delay the posting. Adding a delay can give time for providers to discuss sensitive results or diagnoses with the patient in person.
If your organization wants to limit the length of time that documents are displayed in the Patient Portal, enter the number of years in the Document Max Age box. Documents older than this time are removed from the Patient Portal but are still available through the Electronic Health Record.
