Import Discrete Task Assay

Discrete task assays (DTAs) are subtasks associated with an order carried out by a department or healthcare provider. For example, a chest x-ray order may have Read, Exam, and Impression DTAs. For a vital signs order, the DTAs may be pulse, respiration, temperature, and blood pressure.

You can import discrete task assays using a query, query by form, or an Excel template. When Patient Portal users complete health screener or health history questionnaires, the DTA lists are displayed in lists for various health conditions. For example, if the patient experiences cardiovascular symptoms, they can select the symptom.
