Messaging
You can manage patient notifications in the Messaging section of Module Settings. Use the Messaging section to select the messaging provider, configure message subjects, and define the types of messages that Patient Portal users can send to your organization.
Move the Allow Messages toggle to Enabled to allow Patient Portal users to send messages to inboxes. When you select Enabled, you can then select the types of messages that Patient Portal users can create.
The following message types are available:
- Appointment Request
- Appointment Cancellation Request
- Appointment Reschedule Request
- Request Confidentiality Request (form)
- Medication Refill
- Medication Renewal
- General Message
Set the Messaging Feature toggle to Oracle or Third-Party depending on whether your site uses Oracle's messaging services or a third-party messaging service. If you select Third-Party, the Third-Party Integrations list becomes available and you can select the company you use for messaging.
Note:
Third-party message providers must be enabled through the Oracle Partner Network to be available from the Third-Party Integrations list. To view all available approved third-party integrations, from the Administrative Console, select Global Settings, then select Third-Party Integrations.
