1 Configure AI Agents for Research

Configure an approved AI client to access AI Agents for Research in Oracle Life Sciences AI Data Platform (AI Data Platform) through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Using Oracle Life Science AI Data Platform (AI Data Platform) AI Agents for Research, researchers can use natural language to build cohorts and conduct outcomes analysis using Oracle Health Real-World Data (RWD). AI Agents for Research can return cohort counts, result tables, charts, datasets, and summaries. Depending on the Agent's understanding of your initial question, the Agent may respond with a follow-up question for clarification. AI Agents for Research works with other approved AI clients on AI Data Platform to analyze RWD.

Before researchers can use AI Agents for Research, an authorized IT administrator must configure Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) for the customer tenancy, create and configure the AI Data Platform MCP connector or application in the approved AI client, and make it available to end users. Once available, an end user searches for the connector or application in the AI client and connects it to their AI Data Platform account.
