Collect Specimens

You can collect specimens in Oracle Health EHR.

To collect specimens for a patient:

1. Review the supplies needed.
2. From the Specimen Collections page, scan the patient's wristband or select a valid override reason to identify the patient.
3. From the Print Labels list, select the appropriate specimen collection containers, then select Print.
4. From the printer selection panel, select a label printer and then select Print.

   Note:

   Labels can be selected to be printed or reprinted for any container before signing.
5. Collect the specimen and label the containers.
6. Scan the container labels to confirm the collection.

   Note:

   If you cannot scan a label, edit the collection, then select an override reason.
7. After all the collections are confirmed, select Sign to complete the collection.
