Histories Sections in Forms

Component: Histories

Family, implant, procedure, and social history sections are displayed in applicable forms.

From the Forms section of the patient’s chart, add a form that includes the histories information. Verify that the appropriate sections are displayed in the form.

Enhancement EHRM-24144:

Mark Procedure History as Reviewed (EHRM-24144)

Component: Histories

You can mark procedure history as reviewed.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

You can use the Mark as Reviewed button to document that you reviewed the procedure history.

From the Procedure tab of the Histories page, select Mark as Reviewed. Verify that the date of the review is displayed for the procedure history.

Enhancement EHRM-40668:

Procedure History UI Updates

Component: Histories

The following updates were made to the Procedure tab:
  • Procedures are displayed in one list instead of in the Procedure Summary and Previous Visit Procedures sections.
  • This Visit is displayed as the procedure type when appropriate.
  • Last Reviewed By is displayed in the Procedure tab to inform you about who performed the last review and when the review was performed.

From the Procedure tab of the Histories page, verify that the Procedure Summary and Previous Visit Procedure section headings are no longer displayed.

Select a procedure documented to the current encounter and verify that This Visit is displayed as the procedure type.

Select Mark as Reviewed and verify that your name and the current date and time are displayed as the last reviewed.

Enhancement EHRM-40700:

Filter Family History View

Component: Histories

You can change how family history is displayed.

UI Impact: Workflow (Implemented)

Your CDF meanings defined for person relationships on Code Set 40 are used to display family history in a pedigree chart.

From the Family tab of the Histories page, use the Ask Oracle bar to select Member, Condition, or Pedigree Chart from the View By list. Verify that the family history information is displayed in the selected view.

Implementation Impact: Low

Ensure that the appropriate CDF meanings are defined for the person relationships on Code Set 40.

Enhancement EHRM-40654:

Family History Onset Date

Component: Histories

If an onset age is available, it is displayed in parenthesis next to the condition.

UI Impact: Visual Only

From the Family tab of the Histories page, identify a family condition with an onset age documented and verify that it is displayed in parenthesis next to the condition.

Enhancement EHRM-24629:

Validate Implant UDI and DI

Component: Histories

When you add or update implant history, you can validate the implant's unique device identifier (UDI) or device identifier (DI) to import associated information from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA)'s Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID).

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

You can import the FDA's GUDID information using an implant's UDI or DI.

  1. From the Implant tab of the Histories page, add or update implant history.
  2. Expand the Additional Details section.
  3. Enter the UDI or DI.
  4. Select Validate. Verify that the associated information from the FDA's GUDID is automatically added to the appropriate fields.

Enhancement EHRM-24275:

Implant FDA Reference

Component: Histories

When you open the details for a historical implant with a validated UDI or DI, you can select FDA Reference to view the associated information from the FDA's GUDID.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

You can view the FDA's GUDID information for a patient's implant.

  1. From the Implant tab of the Histories page, select an implant for which a UDI or DI is validated.
  2. Select FDA Reference. Verify that the associated information from the FDA's GUDID is displayed.
