Real-Time Prescription Benefit Information

Component: Electronic Routing

Real-time prescription benefit information, such as cost, alternatives, and whether prior authorization is required, now is displayed on the order details page for draft orders, and you can select lower cost alternatives when available.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic) Select the Alternatives badge, then select an alternative prescription order, if appropriate.

Updated Outside Records Workflow

Selecting Outside Records now opens the Manage External Medications page where you can add outside record medications to the patient's local record or discard them.

Select Outside Records, then review the records in the Data to Review section and move outside record medications to the Local section as appropriate. 		See the Manage Outside Records section of the Orders User Guide for more information. Verify that selecting the Outside Records button opens the Manage External Medications page and displays an External Pharmacy Records tab and an Outside Records tab with a list of medications from the patient's outside records alongside a list of medications on the patient's local record.
