Orders Known Issues

Known issues exist in the Orders functionality in Oracle Health EHR.

  • When you renew multiple orders at once using an Ask Oracle request such as "Renew all my medications," the system does not identify the correct orders to renew; it attempts to locate all medications instead of just maintenance medications. [ORDERS-10312]
  • No options are displayed on the Performing Location list on the order details page. [ORDERS-11762]
  • When you accept a renewal request for a patient with a documented height but no weight or a documented weight but no height, you cannot sign the renewal order. [ORDERS-9250]
  • When you accept a renewal for a synonym with a different catalog code than the original order, the sign action fails and you must reject the renewal and place a new prescription. [ORDERS-20206]
  • When you attempt to sign a prescription order with a value in the Earliest Fill Date element, the system does not display Clinical Decision Support (CDS) alerts as expected. [ORDERS-19747]
  • After you access the order details page for an order from the Medications and Orders page, when you select Back, you are not returned to the same row you initially selected on the Medications and Orders page. [ORDERS-18469]
  • Screen readers do not appropriately read the number of items or rows selected or deselected on the Medication and Orders page. [ORDERS-18343]
  • When you place an order using an order sentence that includes a value in the Primary Surgeon or Performing Location elements, the values for those elements are not correctly applied to the order. [ORDERS-18117]
  • You may receive an error message when you try to accept a renewal, and you must modify and sign the order or reject the renewal and send a new prescription to the pharmacy to bypass the error. [ORDERS-16789]
  • When you place an order using an order sentence that includes a value of See Instructions for the Dose element, the system does not update the Dose element appropriately, and you must select See Instructions manually and re-enter the free-text information in the Special Instructions element. [ORDERS-15681]
  • No error message is displayed when the system does not correctly populate an order detail element with options or information, and elements remain available to modify even while the system is still populating them with options or information. [ORDERS-14745]
  • When you select an order sentence with the Common Details label from orders search results, the Dose element incorrectly displays [volume dose] - [strength dose] as the Dose value instead of only the selected volume dose from the Common Details sentence. [ORDERS-14719]
  • When you place a prescription order with no refills, the system incorrectly indicates that the signed order has one refill remaining. [ORDERS-14718]
  • When you activate an order that includes an associated diagnosis, the system displays the association as duplicated once the order is signed and in an Ordered status. [ORDERS-14343]
  • When you hover over or select Back, the outline of the button overlaps text on several orders-related pages. [ORDERS-14179]
  • When you take action on multiple orders at the same time, the Renew and Renew With Changes options are not displayed correctly. [ORDERS-13062]
  • When you access the order details page from a condition summary view, the content of the order details page moves up and down as the system populates it with information. [ORDERS-13005]
  • Updated medication records are not immediately visible in the Medications tab after you sign the order, and you must refresh the page. [ORDERS-12971]
  • When you sign an order using Ask Oracle, the Medications and Orders page is not refreshed with the most up to date changes until the you refresh the page manually. [ORDERS-5879]
  • When you cancel and reorder an existing prescription, any changes you make to the order details of the new order are incorrectly reflected on the simplified display line of the canceled order as well. The actual order details of the canceled order are not modified. [ORDERS-20442]
  • Order actions may be incorrectly available or unavailable if you change visits between two encounters for which different actions are available. [ORDERS-20345]
  • When you void an order using Ask Oracle, the system does not consistently add the pending void action to the Needs Attention panel. [ORDERS-20372]
  • When you place a clinic medication order, the order card added to the Needs Attention panel does not display the action associated with the order. [ORDERS-20787]
  • You cannot take actions on an order when you access the order from the Life timeline. [ORDERS-21008]
  • When you update the adherence information for a medication from the order details page, the Source element is not displayed as required, but you must enter a value in the Source element for the Save button to become available. [ORDERS-21245]
  • When you update the adherence information for a medication from the order details page, the current values in the various detail elements are not displayed. [ORDERS-21246]
  • When you use an Ask Oracle request to discard all unsigned orders from the Needs Attention panel or page, the system does not reliably remove all orders and sometimes stops responding while interpreting the request. [ORDERS-22286]
  • The behavior of required detail elements is inconsistent across different elements, and some elements display error messages multiple times. [ORDERS-22528]
