4 Getting Started
To get started, you must perform the following tasks:
- Oracle will create the Channel Code before calling the Shop and Book APIs.
- Customers can request the channel code for the Booking Engine Distribution API through their Oracle representative.
- Once the channel code is created, Customer can Register an OHIP Application and Subscribe to Oracle Hospitality APIs, which includes Distribution APIs.
- Customer finally configures the Channel in the OPERA Cloud Distribution user
interface.
- Hotel Distribution Property Controls
- Hotel descriptions following Distribution industry standards
- Guest rooms content
- Channel room type mapping
- Rate Plan Default Distribution Attributes (rate plan types, meal plans, descriptions)
- Channel Rate Plan mapping
- Map OPERA Cloud reservation types, payment types, and card types to Distribution industry standards
- Assign Tax types to Distribution industry standard OTA tax types in OPERA Cloud transaction codes.
