Reservations

The Reservations section shows the actual reservations sent by your provisioned channels.

From the Reservations main menu, select Reservations. In this section, you can:
  • Search and view reservation by different search criteria.

  • Re-Synchronize single reservations and reservations in a bulk to your PMS.

Prerequisites

Appropriate permissions are required to access Reservations. From the Role Manager menu, select Role Permissions. All options accessible from the Reservations main menu are covered by the View Reservation permissions of the Reservations module. For further information, see: Role Permissions.

Managing Reservations

Use the following to search:
  • Channel: Select one or multiple channels.

  • Name: Enter the name of the guest.

  • Delivery Status: Select one or multiple distributions statuses.

  • Expand the Show More section to search in more detail.
    • Reservation Status: Select one or multiple reservation statuses.

    • Arrival From

    • Arrival To

    • Departure From

    • Departure To

    • Creation Date

    • Last Modified

Click Search to get search results. Only records matching all selected criteria appear. Click Reset to reset the search data.

Viewing Reservations

Select the View icon on the right-hand side of each record to view the reservation details. On top you can view the last name of your guest.

Tab Overview
  • Reservation Status: Shows the status of the reservation in your Property Management System (PMS).

  • Delivery Status: Shows the status of the distribution to your PMS.

  • Channel: Shows the delivery channel.

  • Guest Stay: Shows the arrival and departure date of the reservation.

  • Cancellation Date: Shows the date of the cancellation. The field appears only when the reservation status is cancelled.

  • Room Information: Shows the booked number and room category.

  • Rate Code: Shows the rate code of the reservation.

  • Distribution ID: Shows the Distribution ID.

  • Confirmation IDs: Shows all IDs of third parties and the OPERA Cloud Distribution confirmation ID.

  • Created By: Shows who created the reservations.

  • Last Modified By: Shows who last modified the reservation.

  • Last Modified On: Shows when the reservation was last modified.

Tab Reservation File

The reservation file shows you the database data. You can switch between tree view and highlighter view.

Re-synchronize a Single Reservation

You can re-synchronize reservations with Distribution Status Fail and In Process with your Property Management System (PMS).

Select the Re-synchronize Reservation icon on the right-hand side of the reservation. The icon appears only for reservations with the appropriate status.

Note:

An information popup informs you that the reservation will be resent to your PMS and the distribution status will be updated.

Re-synchronize Reservations in Bulk

You can re-send reservations from OPERA Cloud Distribution to the Property Management System (PMS) to make sure that both systems are in synch, if for some reason a reservation is not delivered to the PMS.
  • Select the Actions button at the top and then select Re-synchronize.

  • Enter the criteria of the reservations you want to re-synchronize. The Reservation Status, Channel, and Distribution Status fields are required. Creation Date From and Arrival Date From are also required, but when setting a creation date, the arrival date is not required and vice versa.

  • Select Start and a message appears offering the option to Proceed or Cancel. Select an option, and the screen closes. A message appears when no reservations match your entered criteria.

  • A message appears on top of the Reservations Search when the re-synchronization is completed.
