Updating Customized Stationery with Current Data Model

Following an upgrade of OPERA Cloud the sample RTF templates and corresponding XML (data model) is updated to reference and benefit from functionality added.

To benefit from the changes made to the data model your customized templates needs to be updated with the new XML elements.

If you have multiple templates to update repeat the process for each template.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, then select Manage Reports.
  2. Select the Show Internal checkbox and then select the stationery report group from the Report Group list.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Select the template to update in the search result.
  5. Click the vertical ellipsis and select Download Sample Data to download the updated XML file (to default download folder).
  6. Click the vertical ellipsis and select Download Customized Report to download your customized template (to default download folder).
  7. Launch Microsoft Word and open the customized report template (RTF file); navigate to the download folder location to access the file.
  8. Click the BI Publisher tab on the toolbar and click Sample XML.
  9. Navigate to the folder where the sample XML file was downloaded. 
  10. Select the file and click  Open. A message "Data loaded successfully" informs you that the sample XML data is now loaded for use.
  11. Proceed to update the RTF template with new XML elements listed. See Using the Stationery Template Editor.
  12. When updates to your template are complete, click File then Save to save the changes to the RTF and then exit Microsoft Word.
  13. In OPERA Cloud (Manage Report).
  14. Select the template to update and click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Edit.
  15. Click Choose File and select the updated RTF file from the folder location on your workstation and click Open to upload the file.
  16. Click Save.
