Prerequisites for Mobile ID Scanning

ID Document Scanning is functionality built to support hotel employees embracing the freedom to greet guests anywhere. Architected to fit into the Cloud-first approach of OPERA Cloud, the integration offer's REST APIs for partners to integrate with and take advantage of the hardware built into the tablet. By initiating the scan process from either the guest profile or during the reservation check-in, the tablet camera is used to take an image of the ID Document. Once you are satisfied with the quality of the image, OPERA Cloud will send it to the partner to analyze the information and return them back to OPERA Cloud. You will be presented with a profile information comparison screen that allows you to select which existing information to overwrite with the data read from the ID Document, which to keep and which to remove. This functionality requires the OPERA Cloud Add-on "Oracle Hospitality OPERA ID Document Scanning Cloud Service" to be active and for the property to contract an integrated vendor.

Supported ID Documents Types

Passport, Visa, Driver License, and ID Card.
