Managing Profile Correspondence and Privacy Options

When the Profile Mailing Privacy OPERA Control is active you can specify whether guests or contacts want to opt-in to receive promotional information, mailings, and so on. These privacy flags are referenced by partner solutions integrated with OPERA Cloud or in the setup of data exports. For new profiles the opt-in defaults are based on the Privacy Defaults OPERA Control .

Editing Privacy Options

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations, select Profiles, and then select Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To..., then Correspondence or open the profile and click the Correspondence link in Profile Presentation.

  4. Select the Privacy tab.

  5. Select Edit and update the following:

    1. Salutation: Update the guests salutation (letter greeting).

    2. Envelope Greeting: Enter or update the envelope addressee.

    3. Primary Email: Enter or update the primary e-mail.

    4. Include in Promotional Mailings/Email: Select to indicate the guest wishes to be included on your property's mailing list.

    5. Allow contact via phone: Select to indicate the guest wishes to receive phone calls from your property.

    6. Allow contact via SMS / Text Message:Select to indicate the guest wishes to receive SMS from your property.

    7. Send information from Third Parties: Select to indicate the guest wishes to receive information from third-parties.

    8. Automatically enroll in the Loyalty Program: Select to auto-enroll guest in the default membership program (Default Membership Type OPERA Control).

    9. Participate in Market Research: Select to indicate the guest wishes to participate in market research.

    10. Allow Contact via Email: Select to indicate the guest wishes to receive marketing emails from your property.

  6. Click Save.

Editing Mailing Options

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations, select Profiles, and then select Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To..., then Correspondence or open the profile and click the Correspondence link in Profile Presentation.

  4. Select the Mailings tab.

  5. Select a property and click Search.

    Note:

    If no property is entered or selected the options are set globally.
  6. Click Edit and update the following:

    1. Business Segments: Select from list of segments. For more information, seeConfiguring Business Segments.

    2. Mailing Action: Select from a list of mailing lists. For more information, see Configuring Mailing Action Codes.

  7. Click Save.
