Prerequisites for Comp Routing Instructions
From the Comp Routing Instructions screen, you can view existing comp routings and view the status of comp routing requests, such as Pending or Declined. If a comp routing instruction exists on the reservation, you can add additional comp routing instructions to the reservation from this screen.
From the Routing Instructions panel on the Reservation screen, you can add, edit, and delete comp routing instructions as well as edit, decline, or delete comp requests.
When the PTS Membership Type based Comp Routing parameter is active in OPERA Controls, comp routing instructions are only allowed for reservations where the linked membership type is equal to the Default PTS Membership Type setting. The Default PTS Membership Type setting in OPERA Controls specifies the default membership type for the Patron Tracking System (PTS). If this setting is blank, the option to set up comp routing is hidden when creating or updating routing instructions for reservations. Additionally, the option to set up comp routing instructions is hidden for reservations without a linked membership type equal to the Default PTS Membership Type setting. However, when the PTS Membership Type based Comp Routing parameter is OFF, comp routing can be set up for all reservations.
