OPERA Controls — Membership

The following tables outline the functions, parameters, and settings that can be configured in the OPERA Controls Membership group.

Table 11-49 OPERA Controls — Membership Functions

AWARD POINTS REDEMPTION [AWARD_REDEMPTION]		Activates the redemption of Loyalty Membership Awards. Including: Rate, Upgrade, Package, Payment and Other Awards.
	LOYALTY PAYMENT AWARD (MEM_AW_PAY)	Provides the ability to offer Loyalty Payment Awards which allow qualified members to use their Award points to pay a portion or all of their bill.
	LOYALTY PAYMENT AWARD WITH ELIGIBLE TRANSACTIONS [MEM_AW_PAY_ELIGIBLE]	Provides the ability to offer Loyalty Payment Awards which allow qualified members to use their Award points to pay a portion or all of their reservation account balance. A Point Redemption check box is enabled in Configure Transaction Codes, allowing you to identify transaction codes as Eligible for Loyalty Payment Awards. Only transaction codes that are identified as eligible, and posted onto the reservation account, are considered for Payment Award "Payment with Points."
	MEMBER UPGRADE AWARD PROMPT ALL DATES (AUTO_UPGRADE_PROMPT_ALL_DATES)	Activates the display of an Upgrade Award prompt on qualified reservations regardless of arrival date. When inactive, the prompt will only display for qualified reservations arriving on the current date and will not display for ones arriving on future dates.
DISPLAY RESERVATION AWARDS [AWARDS_MODULE]		When active, Eligibility Code, Award Code, Award Number fields can be added using Page Composer and displayed on reservation Daily Details. This information can be populated by integrated loyalty or central reservation solutions as indication and tracking of Awards applied or Earning eligibility.
ENROLLMENT [ENROLLMENT]		Activates the ability to enroll guests and contacts in a membership program managed in an external loyalty solution.
	ENROLLMENT SYSTEMS INTEGRATED WITH OPERA CLOUD (TYPES) THAT ARE ACTIVE TO OPERA CLOUD (ENROLLMENT_TYPE)	Determines the Enrollment Types available when performing an enrollment for a guests or contacts. Loyalty Gaming

CROSS BRAND RECOGNITION [CROSS BRAND RECOGNITION]		Activates the ability to recognize Loyalty Members (of a central loyalty membership program) with a pop up message when accessing their reservation. This will help the user identify where this guest originally enrolled and treat accordingly.
	DEFAULT ENROLLMENT SOURCE (DEFAULT_MEMBERSHIP_SOURCE)	Determines the default Enrollment Source which identifies where the Guest was enrolled and will be added to the membership number for Cross Brand Recognition. Either populate the setting using free form text to use as the Enrollment Source, or leave it empty and the Chain Code where the user is logged in will be used.
DEFAULT MEMBERSHIP FLAG [DEFAULT_MEMBERSHIP_FLAG_ON_RATE_HEADER]		When active, the rate code Membership checkbox in Financial Details is automatically selected for new rate codes; ensuring the rate code is eligible for point calculation rule configuration.
LEVEL BENEFITS [LEVEL_BENEFITS]		Level benefits are used to control the level associated to a primary membership. When a level benefit is associated to a membership, the member level will maintain the associated level, unless the member level is higher than the level associated to the level benefit.
ECERTIFICATE REDEMPTION [ECERTIFICATE_REDEMPTION]		Activates the ability for e-certificates issued to the guest profile in OPERA Loyalty to be redeemed in OPERA Cloud PMS as part of a reservation.
LOYALTY MEMBERSHIP CONFIGURATION [OCIS_MEM_CONF]		Activates the ability to configure Membership Class, Membership Types, Status Codes and Qualifying Rates for your primary loyalty membership type when integrated with an external loyalty solution.
MEMBER PROFILE UPDATE RESTRICTION [MEMBER_PROFILE_UPDATE_RESTRICTION]		When active, you are prevented from performing the following actions on profiles with membership(s) added to the reservation: The name on the reservation cannot be changed by linking a new profile. The profile cannot be removed from the reservation. The profile linked to reservation cannot be merged.
MEMBERSHIP LINK [MEMBERSHIP_LINK]		Activates the ability to link a Profile Membership, of the property Default Membership Type, to a reservation with a different profile for informational purposes only. No Loyalty points will be generated by OPERA Cloud Loyalty or OPERA 5 Loyalty.
PREFERRED CARD [MEM_PREF_CARD]		Activates the Preferred Card checkbox in the profile Membership panel; allowing the guest to determine which Membership type will generate points for their stay.
LOYALTY MEMBERSHIP CONFIGURATION OCIS_MEM_CONF		Activates the ability to configure Membership Class, Membership Types, Status Codes and Qualifying Rates for your primary loyalty membership type, and redeem awards in OPERA Cloud when integrated with an external loyalty solution.

DEFAULT MEMBERSHIP TYPE [DEFAULT_MEMBERSHIP_TYPE]	Determines the Membership Type that will automatically populate in the Memberships panel when adding membership details to a profile, enrolling a profile or when linking a profile membership to a reservation.
