Configuring Advanced Authorization Rules

Adding Advanced Authorization Rules

  1. From the Administration menu, select Financials, then Cashiering Management, then select Authorization Rules.

  2. Click New and complete the following

    1. Property: Enter or select the property

    2. Room Type: Select a room type from the list. When you select a Room type, the associated Room Class automatically populates the Room Class field, and you cannot modify the Room Class field.

    3. Room Class: Select a room class from the list (Available when the Room Class OPERA Control is active).

    4. Rate Code: Select a rate code from the list. If you select a Rate Code, then a Rate Category attached to the Room Type will automatically be populated, and you cannot modify the Rate Category field.

    5. Rate Category: Select a rate category from the list

    6. Reservation Types: Select a reservation type from the list. Not available for the default (Property) authorization rule.

    7. Source Code: Select a source code from the list. Not available for the default (Property) authorization rule.

    8. Authorization Rule: Select an authorization rule from the list

    9. Amount: Enter an amount to be applied to authorization calculation rule.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Advanced Authorization Rules

  1. From the Administration menu, select Financials, then Cashiering Management, then select Authorization Rules.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Authorization Rule, then click the vertical ellipsis and select Edit.

  4. Update configuration.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Advanced Authorization Rules

  1. From the Administration menu, select Financials, then Cashiering Management, then select Authorization Rules.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Authorization Rule, then click the vertical ellipsis and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
