Redeeming Loyalty Awards for Package

Loyalty badge. With an Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Service, Loyalty subscription or when the Loyalty Membership Configuration OPERA Control is active and integrated with the OPERA Cloud Customer Loyalty Tracking Cloud Service,  member award points can be redeemed for a package; offered based on specific validity dates, the member's tier or level, and other factors.

Once redeemed, the Points Available value in profile membership is updated to show the deduction in points (or increase based on updates/cancellations). An Award record is also created for each night on the profile membership panel. For more information, see Managing Profile Membership (Loyalty Cloud Service)

Adding a Package Award to Reservations

The package offer is based on the available points balance, member level/tier, validity dates, and other criteria. If the member does not have sufficient points, no awards appear.

Note:

Award Packages cannot be added via Look to Book.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservations.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, then click I Want to . . ., Reservation, or click the confirmation number to open the Reservation Presentation page.

  4. Click the Packages link.

    2. Select the Award Packages check box, the available Award Packages are returned with details on the Calculation Rule, Posting Rhythm and Points required.

    3. Click Add on the package item to select it for the reservation and enter the following details: 

      1. Quantity: Update the quantity, if required

      2. Click green tick mark.

    4. Click Save.

Updating Package Award Reservations

  • When increasing the calculation rule values (nights, person, adults, or children), additional points are deducted and an additional award appears for each additional night on the profile membership Award List .

  • When reducing the calculation rule values (nights, person, adults, or children), the deducted points are credited less any cancellation penalties and the award appears as cancelled on the profile membership Award List

  • When increasing the package dates, additional points are deducted and an additional award appears for each additional night on the profile membership Award List

  • When reducing the package dates, the deducted points are credited less any cancellation penalties and the award appears as cancelled on the profile membership Award List

  • When reducing the package quantity (excluded quantity), the deducted points are credited less any cancellation penalties and the award appears as cancelled on the profile membership Award List

  • When deleting the package, the deducted points are credited less any cancellation penalties and the award appears as cancelled on the profile membership Award List

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservations.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, then click I Want to . . ., Reservation, or click the confirmation number to open the Reservation Presentation page.

  4. Click the Packages link.

Cancelling Package Award Reservations

When cancelling an Award reservation, the deducted points are credited less any cancellation penalties and the award appears as cancelled on the profile membership type Award List.
