This tracks the expected  room nights, room revenue,

00:12

food and beverage revenue, and any other revenue.

00:16

Let's get started.

00:17

First, you must find the sales account.

00:20

In OPERA Cloud, go to client relations,  profiles, and then select Manage profile.

00:28

Enter the search criteria to find the account profile.

00:31

Sales accounts are typically company or travel agent profiles.

00:35

In this example, to search for a profile I select travel agent from the drop-down list,

00:40

enter a name, and then click search.

00:43

Next to the Sales Account Profile name  I want to create a sales forecast for,

00:47

I click the arrow to open the I want  to menu and then click Forecast.

00:53

In this example, click New to enter new sales forecast for this travel agent account profile.

01:01

Click the magnifying glass  to select the from and to

01:03

dates to define the time period for the forecast.

01:07

The forecast time period can represent  calendar months or fiscal time periods,

01:11

and is based on the Forecast Reporting Period  Control setting in OPERA Cloud Administration.

01:17

Enter the potential number of room nights to  include in this sales forecast time period.

01:23

Enter the potential average rate.

01:26

Now, based on the time  period and the average rate,

01:29

the room revenue is automatically calculated.

01:32

I can make adjustments to the room revenue amount.

01:36

And then I have the option to enter  the potential Food and Beverage revenue

01:40

and any other expected revenue  for this forecast time period.

01:44

Now, I can select save or I can click to save  add more, meaning I can save this sales forecast

01:52

and then create another sales  forecast for another time period.

02:21

In this example, I create another  sale forecast and then click save.

02:26

Now, I see the sales forecast  details I just created.

02:30

The first sales forecast detail I just created was  for the time period August 2022 until April 2022.

02:38

Next, the second sales forecast detail I  created was for February through March 2022.

02:45

If you want to delete all the forecast  details, select the checkbox at the

02:49

top of the list to select all entries, then  click the vertical ellipse and click delete.

02:55

To edit or delete any of the  forecast details individually,

02:58

click the checkbox and then click the  vertical ellipse next to each forecast detail.

03:03

In this example, I click edit and now I can  update any of the details, and then click save.

03:12

Now, I see the forecast link  appear for this profile,

03:15

indicating there are forecast details available.
