Checking Out Reservations Early

Use Check Out Early to check out reservations prior to their due departure date. The Check Out Early option appears only when the reservation departure date is later than your current business date. OPERA Cloud follows the Check Out Workflow Preference OPERA Control to process the early departure.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Front Desk, select In House.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the results and click I Want To... and select Check Out Early.

Navigating to Billing Workflow

  1. You will be prompted about the reservation departure change and the reservation status will change to Due Out.

  2. You may also be prompted about an early departure penalty.

  3. Click Continue with Early Departure.

  4. From the Billing screen further manage the charges and settlement of the reservation account. See Manage Billing .

Navigating to Checkout Steps Workflow

  1. You will be prompted about the reservation departure change and the reservation status will change to Due Out.

  2. You may also be prompted about an early departure penalty.

  3. Click Continue with Early Departure. You are presented with Checkout and Folio Settlement page

  4. Click Post Charge to post any last minute charges. For more information, see Posting Charges to Guest Folios.

  5. Enter payment details for each Billing window, the details default based on payment information.

  6. Click Settle and Send Folio to post payment and generate a folio or Settle Folio to just post the payment.

  7. Repeat for balance in other Billing windows.

  8. Click Checkout Now.
