Reinstating Checked Out Reservations

You can reinstate a early departure check out reservation to the status of either checked In or departure (when the departure date is the same as the current business date). You can reinstate a checked out reservation only before the End of Day process on the date of departure. When reinstating an early departure reservation, the original departure date is restored when the Reinstate Early Departure to Last Departure Date OPERA Control is active.

Reinstating a reservation deducts the specified room type from inventory. You must have the required overbooking tasks assigned to your role(s) to overbook the property.

Note:

When a reservation that has been checked out and the previously assigned room is already assigned to another checked in reservation, OPERA Cloud displays a message telling you: "Room <room> is already booked for <guest> whose arrival date is <date> and departure date is <date>. Continue to reinstate?" If you reply Yes, OPERA Cloud reinstates the reservation and a share is automatically created with the in-house reservation. For more information, see Managing Reservations Shares.
