Configuring Rate Classes

OPERA Cloud rate structure is divided into Rate Class, Rate Category, Rate Code. You must define one or more rate classes, a rate class is then associated to each Rate Category. Rate classes can be used to query rates from Look to Book sales screen. Examples of rate classes could be Negotiate, Wholesale, Discounted etc.

Adding Rate Classes

1. From the OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Classes.

   Note:

   When the OPERA Multi-property Cross Reservation Cloud Service is active, new Rate Classes are created by selecting the Template tab. Once created, you can copy Rate Classes to specific properties using the Copy action.- Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties.
   Click New and enter the following details:

   1. Property: Enter or select the property.

   2. Code: Enter a code for the rate class.

   3. Description: Enter a description for the rate class.

   4. Begin Date: Enter a begin date.

   5. End Date: Enter an end date.

   6. Sequence: Enter a display sequence.

2. Click Save.

Editing Rate Classes

1. From the OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Classes.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. From search results, select the rate class, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

4. Update the configuration.

5. Click Save.

Deleting Rate Classes

1. From the OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Rate Classes.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. From search results, select the rate class, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

4. Click Delete to confirm.
