Managing Reservation Inventory Items

Viewing Reservation Inventory Items

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search results, click I Want To . . . and then select Item Inventory or click the Item Inventory link in Reservation Presentation.

    Note:

    A number displayed on the Item Inventory link indicates the number of inventory items selected for the reservation.
  4. The Selected Inventory Item panel appears a list of the items for each item the following is indicated:
    1. Image: Click to view an image of the item.

    2. Code:The item code for the inventory item.

    3. Description: The name of the inventory item.

    4. Quantity: Number of items selected for the reservation. When the quantity is changing during the item timeframe, the quantity value is displayed with a change indicator that shows the count of the different quantity values. When the calculated quantity changes during the package timeframe, the calculated quantity value is displayed with a change indicator that shows the count of the different quantity values.

    5. Start Date / End Date: Date range for which the item is selected for the reservation.

    The Daily View tab shows a breakdown of inventory items per reservation date.

Adding an Inventory Item to a Reservation

Note:

When the Allow Inventory Items Outside Of Stay Days OPERA Control is active, eligible items that are selected for dates outside of the reservation stay dates have to overlap at least one night of the reservation stay dates.

When the Sell Control OPERA Control is active.
  1. If your role(s) are granted the Override Item Sell Control task, you can override items that are not available.

  2. If your roles(s) are not granted the Override Item Sell Control, you can request other users with the Override Item Sell Control task granted to authorize the override through input of their PIN.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search results, click I Want To . . . and then select Item Inventory or click the Item Inventory link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. From the Item Inventory screen, click New.

    1. Enter search criteria and click Search.

    2. Items and their availability are listed in the Available Inventory Items section.

    3. To select an item, click the (Availability) Number link for the item and applicable start date.

    4. The item appears in the Selected Inventory Items panel. Enter the following details:

      1. Quantity: Enter or select the quantity of items required.

      2. Begin Date: Enter the date for which the item should be linked to the reservation (defaults to arrival).

      3. End Date: Enter the end date for the item (if left empty, OPERA Cloud assumes the departure date).

      4. Click This image shows the tick icon.

      5. Click This image show the close icon. to remove an item.

  5. Click Save.

Editing an Inventory Item on a Reservation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search results, click I Want To . . . and then select Item Inventory or click the Item Inventory link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. In the Selected Inventory Items panel, select the inventory item, click This image shows the edit icon

  5. Update details.

  6. Click This image shows the tick icon.

  7. Click Save.

Deleting an Inventory Item from a Reservation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search results, click I Want To . . . and then select Item Inventory or click the Item Inventory link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. In the Selected Inventory Items panel, select the inventory item, click This image show the close icon..
  5. Confirm by clicking Yes.

  6. Click Save.
