Managing Sales Account Forecast

Use the Sales Account forecast to set up the expected revenue and room nights on sales account profiles for specific periods of time, either by calendar months or fiscal periods based on the Reporting Period OPERA Controls.

Adding Sales Account Forecasts (Load Forecast)

Note:

If forecast data exists for a selected date range, you will be prompted to override.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations, select Profiles, and then select Manage Profile.

  2. From View By, select Company, Agent, or Source from the list.

  3. Enter additional search criteria and click Search.

  4. Select the profile in the search results, click the I Want To . . . action, select Forecast, or click the Forecast link in Profile Presentation.

  5. Click New and complete the following:
    1. Property. Enter or select the property.

    2. Future Dates. Select check box to display future dates when selecting the From / To periods.

    3. From Period. Select a period from the list.

    4. To Period. Select a period from the list.

    5. Room Nights. Enter number of forecasted room nights for the period.

    6. Average Rate. Enter the potential Average rate for the period.

    7. Room Revenue. Enter the potential Room revenue. An amount will populate when an average rate is entered.

    8. F and B. Enter the potential Food and Beverage revenue for the period.

    9. Other Revenue. Enter the potential Other revenue for the period.

  6. Click Save or click Save and Add More to add another.

Editing Sales Account Forecast

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations, select Profiles, and then select Manage Profile.

  2. From View By, select Company, Agent, or Source from the list.

  3. Enter additional search criteria and click Search.

  4. Select the profile in the search results, click the I Want To . . . action, select Forecast, or click the Forecast link in Profile Presentation.

  5. Enter search criteria and then click Search.

  6. Select the forecast period, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and select Edit.

    1. Update the forecast details.

  7. Click Save.

Deleting Sales Account Forecast

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations, select Profiles, and then select Manage Profile.

  2. From View By, select Company, Agent, or Source from the list.

  3. Enter additional search criteria and click Search.

  4. Select the profile in the search results, click the I Want To . . . action, select Forecast, or click the Forecast link in Profile Presentation.

  5. Enter search criteria and then click Search.

  6. Select the forecast period, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and select Delete.

  7. Click Delete to confirm.
