ALTERNATE SPACE

[ALTERNATE_SPACE]

 

When enabled, a function space can be configured to require an alternate space as a back-up, whenever the function space is selected for an Event. A typical use case for this functionality is for outside function space that requires a back-up in the event of inclement weather. When the space requiring an alternate space is selected for an event, you are prompted and required to select an additional space(s). When an alternate space(s) is assigned, an additional event(s) is automatically created to reserve the alternate space(s) for the same date and times as the original event.

 

UPDATE ALTERNATE MASTER EVENT STATUS

[ACTUALIZE_ALTERNATE_MASTER]

When active, the status for the primary event will be changed to Actual when the process to update event status is activated via the Scheduled Time to Update Event Status to Actual setting. This will release the Alternate Space being held as a backup.

 

ALTERNATE SPACE EVENT NAME SETTING

Default name for an event in an Alternate Space.

COMBINE PACKAGE EVENTS IN BEO

[COMBINE_PACKAGE_EVENTS_IN_BEO]

When active, a Print Package Events Combined check box is enabled in BEO report parameters. When the check box is selected the attendee count for package events with the same Block ID, Event Name, Event Type, Event Dates, Event Status, Event Times and Function Space are summed to output a total number of attendees.

 

EXCLUDE SPACE FROM PACKAGE

When active, the checkbox for Include Space in Package will be unchecked by default allowing the space to be charged separately from the package price.

CATERING EVENTS

Enables the ability to schedule an event and block a function space for a specific date and time. Events can be reserved in non-deduct or deduct status. (Enabled on activation of OPERA Cloud Sales & Event Management Essentials, Standard or Premium subscription).

Enables the ability to post the actual charges for an event directly to the posting master account for the related block.

 

DEFAULT CATERING FOLIO STYLE

Enables the ability configure menus and inventory items and attach them to catering events. These event resources are used to build the details of the event and produce the Banquet Event Order. (Enabled on activation of OPERA Cloud Sales & Event Management Essentials, Standard or Premium subscription).

 

EVENT REVENUE ACTUALIZATION

Setting determines whether catering revenue is tracked at the event or resource level.

EVENT TEMPLATES

Enables the ability to create a collection of events and their associated menus, inventory items, and function space. These events are configured together to allow for quickly adding them to a block in one action. Once added to a block, they function as independent events with their own individual pricing.

EVENT WAITLIST

[EVENT_WAITLIST]

 

Enables the ability to reserve function space already reserved for another block in a deduct from inventory status. These events are put on a waitlist in the order they have been created, but that order can be manually updated. If the function space becomes available, the waitlisted event with the first priority will automatically come off the waitlist and be moved to a deduct from inventory status.

 

WAITLIST ACTIVITY TYPE

This activity type is used to notify a user that an event, which was waitlisted, has been assigned to a function space.

FORECAST EVENT REVENUE

Enables you to configure default revenue forecasts by date and revenue types.

ADVANCED EVENT FORECAST HANDLING

When enabled, the revenue forecast can also include Market Code. If the control for Booking Type is active, Booking Type will also be available.

Allows for a Menu Price to be added to a Consumption Menu in Menu Configuration and when editing a Menu that has been attached to an Event.

GUEST ROOM AS MEETING ROOM

When active, catering events can be booked in guest rooms that are configured for events. The Meeting checkbox will be available for room types configured as physical rooms, allowing a property to identify the room types that can be utilized for catering events. In Room configuration, when the room is associated to a Room Type marked for meetings, a new checkbox for Events will be available for selection. When this checkbox is selected, the user will be able to configure the room to be used for events by adding setup styles, rental codes, and additional information. When an event is booked in a guest room, a reservation will automatically be created to ensure that the room cannot be booked by another guest. The arrival and departure dates will be determined by the start and end time of the event and the values in the setting for Event Start Time Rooms and Event End Time Rooms.

Enables the ability to configure groupings of items commonly sold together, regardless of their item class. When an item template is selected for an event, all items are added along with their respective pricing.

SIMPLE EVENTS

Activates Simple Catering Events and Function Diary functionality in OPERA Cloud PMS. With Simple Events, you can schedule events for a specific date and time, specify the number of attendees, event type , setup style and assign a function space. Event notes can be added to track the various resource requirements for the event. Simple Events then appear in the Function Diary. For more information, see Simple Events.

The Simple Events function is not available when the Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Service, Sales and Event Management Standard Edition or Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud Service, Sales and Event Management Premium Edition is active.

SUB EVENTS

Enables the ability to create events that are linked to other events, either in the same function space or a different space. These events can then be printed together on Banquet Event Orders to illustrate their connected nature.

Defines whether Catering Revenue Prices are entered as Gross or Net Values. The setting is referenced when generating the Daily Forecast Report.

Specifies the measurement system used for the function space.

NO SPACE WARNING IN EVENT SEARCH

Status for which users will be warned that one or more events exist that do not have space assigned. The message will only appear when the search criteria includes Block ID.

Valid values: Multi-select from the configured status codes.

SCHEDULED TIME TO UPDATE EVENT STATUS TO ACTUAL

[SCHEDULED_TIME_UPDATE_EVENT_STATUS]

Activates a background process to run within 30 minutes of the specified time to automatically change the event status to Actual for qualifying events. Events which are in a status that can be updated to Actual and are on the current date will be updated.
