Configuring Reservation eCoupons

eCoupons are complimentary items such as drinks / meals etc offered and redeemed by a guest in POS outlets (bar, cafe or restaurant), the charge for which is posted to a specified posting master room reservation. eCoupons are added to a reservations and are visible in the outlet Point Of Sale (POS).  In POS , the user is able to settle the charge to the guest’s room by selecting the appropriate eCoupons displayed. Therefore, the eCoupons will be counted as used and the charge will be automatically transferred to the designated PM room reservation instead of posting to the guest reservation account. If specific rate codes entitles guests to an eCoupon you can select the rate code(s) so that a reservation is automatically updated with the eCoupon.

Adding an eCoupon

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select eCoupons.

  2. Click New and enter the following details:

    1. Property: Enter or select the property.

    2. eCoupon Code: Enter a maximum of 8 alphanumeric characters.

    3. Description: Enter a description of the eCoupon. This field allows a maximum of 100 characters.

    4. Rate Code: Select one or more About Rate Codes , this eCoupon will be automatically added to any reservation with this rate code.

    5. Posting Room: Select the PM rooms applicable for the selected property. The list of values shows all PM rooms regardless of whether they are checked in or not. This Pseudo room must be checked in for the eCoupons related charges to be successfully diverted to it.

    6. Default Quantity: Enter a value from 1 to 99. This field defaults to 1.

    7. Sequence: Enter a number that controls the position of this code in listings. Codes without a sequence number assigned are listed in alphabetical order following codes with a sequence assigned.

    8. Welcome Offer: Select to make this eCoupon available as a welcome offer to the guest during check in. (Available when the Welcome Offer OPERA Control is active).

  3. Click Save to save and exit or click Save and Continue to save and add additional eCoupons.

Editing an eCoupon

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select eCoupons.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the code and select Edit.

  4. Make the desired changes.

  5. Inactive: Select to make the eCoupon inactivate.

  6. Click Save.

Deleting an eCoupon

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select eCoupons.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the code and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Copying eCoupons

When the Multi Property OPERA Control is active you can copy eCoupons to other properties from the Hub location. See Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties.
