Configuring Pre-Registration Rules

Prerequisites for Pre-Registration Rules

You can define pre-registration rules to identify which reservations qualify for a pre-registered check-in.

Adding a Pre-Registration Rule

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select Pre-Registration Rules.

  2. Click New.

  3. Choose a Rule Type from the list of values. Allowed rule types are Special, Market Code, Time, Origin, Rate Code, Reservation Type, VIP, and Membership.

    1. Special. When selected, the screen lists all available Special Request Codes applicable for the property. You can select one or more Specials for which the pre-registered check-in applies.

    2. Market Code. When selected, the screen lists all available Market codes applicable for the property. You can select one or more Market Codes for which the pre-registered check-in applies.

    3. Origin. When selected, the screen lists all available Origin codes applicable for the property. You can select one or more Origin Codes for which the pre-registered check-in applies.

    4. Rate Code. When selected, the screen lists all available rate codes applicable for the property. You can select one or more Rate Codes for which the pre-registered check-in applies.

    5. Reservation Type. When selected, the screen lists all available Reservation Types applicable for the property. You can select one or more Reservation Types for which the pre-registered check-in applies.

    6. VIP. When selected, the screen lists all available VIP codes applicable for the property. You can select one or more VIP Codes for which the pre-registered check-in applies.

    7. Membership. When selected, you can select one or more Membership Types.

    8. Time. When selected, the below fields become available. By default, the rule is based on the Check-In Time. Allow (n) hours before property check in time: The hours prior to check-in. Enter the number of hours before the property's official check-in time that the reservation is eligible for pre-registered check-in. The official check-in time for the property is based on the value entered in the Check-In Time field on the General Information screen.Allow (n) hours after property check in time: The hours after check-in. Enter the number of hours after the property's official check-in time that the reservation is eligible for pre-registered check-in.

  4. Select the Property for which the rule is applicable.

  5. Select the applicable Start Date / End Date for the rule. If an end date is not selected, the rule is applicable for any future date from the Start Date.

  6. Click Save to close or click Save and Continue to add additional rules.

Editing a Pre-Registration Rule

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select Pre-Registration Rules.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the code and select Edit.Make the desired changes.

  4. Click Save.

Deleting a Pre-Registration Rule

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Reservation Management, and then select Pre-Registration Rules.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the code and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
