Managing Profile Default Routing Instructions

Routing instructions automatically transfer charges to a reservation sub account (billing window) setup for the selected profile (a company, agent, source, or contact profile).

For example, a company books a conference at your property and wants to settle employee room and tax charges later through their AR account. You create the routing instructions on the company profile, selecting room and tax transaction codes as the default routing instructions. As each employee makes a room reservation, you create the employee guest profile and select the company profile; the default routing instructions are setup on the reservation. Routing instructions are applied to the reservation as soon as the appropriate company, agent, source, or contact profile is attached to the reservation, as long as the Auto Populate Routing check box is selected.

You can link a company, agent, source, or contact profile with a  new reservation or later using Reservation Linked Profiles.

Adding Default Profile Routing

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations , Profiles , and then Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To... or open the profile and click the Financials link in Profile Presentation.

  4. Click New and then select a property.

    1. Property: Enter or select a property.

    2. On the Search and Select Routing Instructions screen, search for routing codes and/or transaction codes.

    3. Select one or more Routing Codes or Transaction Codes from the Available list and then click to move to the Selected panel.

    4. Payment Method: Select a payment method from the list.

    5. E-Commerce ID: Enter an ID for the property. Required for GSTR Exports. See Oracle Hospitality Localization Center for Hotel India (Doc ID 2623459.1).

    6. Auto Populate Routing: Select check box to add the routing instructions to any new reservations.

    7. Tax Type: Select a tax type from the list. (Available when the Tax Types OPERA Control is active).

    8. Click Save.

Editing Default Routing

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations , Profiles , and then Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To... or open the profile and click the Financials link in Profile Presentation.

    1. Enter search criteria and click Search.

    2. Select the routing instruction, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

    3. Update routing.

    4. Click Save.

Deleting Default Routing

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations , Profiles , and then Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To... or open the profile and click the Financials link in Profile Presentation.

    1. Enter search criteria and click Search.

    2. Select the routing instruction, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

    3. Click Delete to confirm.
