Managing Reservation eCoupons

eCoupons are complimentry items such as drinks / meals etc offered and redeemed by a guest in POS outlets (bar, cafe or restaurant).; the charge for which is posted to a specified posting master room reservation. When the Attach eCoupon Prior to the Arrival Date OPERA Control is active, the eCoupon link and panel is available as soon as the reservation is created and eCoupons can be managed immediately. When the OPERA Control is inactive, the eCoupon panel will only be displayed and accessible from the reservation's arrival date.

If specific rate codes entitle guests to an eCoupon the eCoupon is automatically added (with default quantity) to the reservation.  In the event a reservation is updated with different rate code, the eCoupons automatrically added will be removed.; any eCoupons applicable to the new rate code will be automatically added to the reservation. See  Configuring Reservation eCoupons .

A Reservation eCoupon report is available to list Reservation eCoupons.

Adding a Reservation eCoupon

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in search result, click I Want To. . ., click eCoupon or open the reservation presentation and click eCoupon details link.

  4. Click New and enter the following details:

    1. Code: Select an eCoupon from the list

    2. Quantity: Enter a quantity of the eCoupon to add to the reservation; a default quantity will populate. 

    3. Reason:  Enter the reason for adding the eCoupon to the reservation.

  5. Click Save.

Editing a Reservation eCoupon

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in search result, click I Want To..., click eCoupon or open the reservation presentation and click eCoupon details link.

  4. Select the eCoupon and click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and click Edit.
    1. Update quantity

    2. Enter additional reason

  5. Click Save.

Deleting a Reservation eCoupon

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in search result, click I Want To..., click eCoupon or open the reservation presentation and click eCoupon details link.

  4. Select the eCoupon and click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and click Delete.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
