Configuring Rotation Override Reasons

A Rotation Override Reasons is required during room assignment or room move when the room selected for a reservation is not the next room in the rotation sequence, according to room rotation setup Reservation rotation override is tracked in the Changes Log for the Override activity type.

Note:

 In multi-property operations, rotation override reasons are available to all properties.

Adding Rotation Override Reasons

  1. From the Administration, select Inventory, select Room Rotation, then select Rotation Override Reasons.
  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Code: Enter code for the rotation override reason.

    2. Description: Enter description for the rotation override reason.

      1. Manage Translations: Click link to configure localized descriptions. For more information, see Configuring Localized Code Descriptions. (Available when the Multi Language OPERA Control is active.).

    3. Sequence: Enter a display sequence for the rotation override reason in lists.

    4. Click Save or click Save and Continue to add another.

Editing Rotation Override Reasons

  1. From the Administration, select Inventory, select Room Rotation, then select Rotation Override Reasons.
  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the rotation override reason, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

    1. Update the configuration.

    2. Click Save.

Deleting Rotation Override Reasons

  1. From the Administration, select Inventory, select Room Rotation, then select Rotation Override Reasons.
  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the rotation override reason, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
