Managing Block External References

External references are the unique reference numbers from an external system used to define the link between OPERA Cloud and the external systems active at your property. You can search for blocks using the external references.

Adding Block External References

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search results, click I Want to. . ., and select External References or click the External References link in Block Presentation.

  4. Click New and complete the following: 

    1. Type: Select the external system from the list.

    2. ID: Enter the external reference number.

    3. Click Save.

Editing Block External References

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search results, click I Want to. . ., and select External References or click the External References link in Block Presentation.

  4. Select the external reference then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and select Edit.

  5. Update details.

  6. Click Save.

Deleting Block External References

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search results, click I Want to. . ., and select External References or click the External References link in Block Presentation.

  4. Select the external reference then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu, and select Delete.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
