Managing Profile Default Routing Instructions

Routing instructions are used to automatically transfer charges to a reservation sub account (billing window) setup for the selected profile (a company, agent, source, or contact profile). Routing instructions are applied to the reservation as soon as the profile is linked to the reservation, and the Auto Populate Routing check box is selected. You can link a company, agent, source, or contact profile to a  new reservation or later using Reservation Linked Profiles.

For example, a company with credit facilities wishes to settle employees room and tax charges through their AR account. You create the routing instructions on the company profile, selecting room and tax transaction codes (or available routing code) as the default routing instructions. As each employee calls to make a room reservation, you create the employee guest profile and link the company profile to the reservation, resulting in the default company routing instructions being setup on the new reservation.

Adding Default Profile Routing

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations , Profiles , and then Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To... or open the profile and click the Financials link in Profile Presentation.

  4. Click New and then select a property.

    1. Property: Enter or select a property.

    2. Charge Codes.

      1. Use the filter to enter a partial description of routing / charge code and click Go to search.

      2. Select one or more Transaction Codes or Routing Codes in the Available panel and click > to move the selected codes to the Selected panel. To select all codes listed in Available panel use >>.

    3. Payment Method: Select a payment method from the list.

    4. E-Commerce ID: Enter an ID for the property. Required for GSTR Exports. See Oracle Hospitality Localization Center for Hotel India (Doc ID 2623459.1).

    5. Auto Populate Routing: Select check box to add the routing instructions to any new reservations.

    6. Tax Type: Select a tax type from the list. (Available when the Tax Types OPERA Control is active).

    7. Click Save.

Editing Default Profile Routing

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations , Profiles , and then Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To... or open the profile and click the Financials link in Profile Presentation.

    1. Enter search criteria and click Search.

    2. Select the routing instruction, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

    3. Update routing.

    4. Click Save.

Deleting Default Profile Routing

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Client Relations , Profiles , and then Manage Profiles.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the profile in the search result, click I Want To... or open the profile and click the Financials link in Profile Presentation.

    1. Enter search criteria and click Search.

    2. Select the routing instruction, then click vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete.

    3. Click Delete to confirm.
