Moving Reservations to Other Properties

When profile sharing is active, you can move a reservation to another property from a Hub location to a property associated with the Hub. You cannot move canceled or no-show reservations or reservations that have incurred financial charges (such as no-show charges) or payments (such as deposit payments). You also cannot move reservations in an Advanced Check in state. For more information, see Advance Checking In Reservations (Available when the Advanced Check In OPERA Control is active).

When the Move Reservation With Same Rate Amount OPERA Control is active, you are able to move reservation and retain the rate amount and rate code, along with fixed charges (when the Move Fixed Charges with Reservation OPERA Control is active) and sell-separate packages (when the Move Sell Separate Packages with Reservation OPERA Controls is active). If the reservation rate code is not configured in the destination property, the rate code selected in the Default Reservation Move Rate Code OPERA Control is used for the reservation. Once the property move is completed, the reservation is assigned a new confirmation number and a reservation note with the following details is added.
  • Source Property Confirmation

  • Source property Rate code

  • Source Property Room Type

  • Source Property Rate Amount

  • Source Property Packages

  • Source Property Fixed Charges

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, select Manage Reservation., and then search by property for the reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria and then click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want To . . . then select Move Reservation.

    1. Look to Book Sales screen displays. For more information, see Booking a Reservation.

    2. Property: Enter or select the destination property from the list, then click Search.

    3. Select an room type and rate code in the search result, then click and drag the new room/rate to the Trip Composer. 

    4. When the Booking Details screen appears, click Update Trip Composer.

    5. Click Move Reservation

      1. Reason:  Select a reason for the move from the list. For more information, see Configuring Property Move Reasons.

      2. Click Move Reservation.
